Fred Olsen Travel is to open two branches to its retail network, taking it to 15 shops.
Fred Olsen has taken over Suffolk-based former Freedom Travel Group member Framlingham Travel and is planning to open a branch in Hythe, Hampshire, next month.
The Framlingham Travel store will retain its name but will be given the “look and feel” of Fred Olsen’s two TravelQuest shops, in Ipswich and Woodbridge, which have a focus on tailor-made tour products.
Owner and branch manager Michaela Woodburn said: “My world collapsed on September 23, I just could not see a way forward until Fred Olsen came to my rescue.
“Within two days I had a new Abta and was back in business. I am so happy and very excited to become part of the Fred Olsen family.
“We would like to thank all our customers they have been amazing and look forward to booking many more holidays for them all.”
The Hythe site used to be a Thomas Cook shop, but closed more than three months ago – before the travel giant’s demise. It will be staffed by three agents from Fred Olsen Travel’s existing Lymington shop.

Head of commercial Paul Hardwick said: “The high street is very much alive and kicking in what has been a very difficult year.
“I am looking for double-digit growth in terms of turnover next year. We are seeing our average booking value go up and we are finding 50 new customers a week on average.”
Hardwick, who is targeting “sensible growth”, has employed former Cook agents.
Neil Hunting will join Framlingham Travel next month and the three-strong team, led by owner Michaela Woodburn, may be joined by an apprentice or a part-time agent.
Ex-Thomas Cook agents Helen Jordan and Georgina Dale have joined the TravelQuest stores in Ipswich and Woodbridge.
