Tropical storm warnings have been issued to in parts of southern Florida popular with British tourists in advance of a tropical depression.
“Strong winds, heavy rain and flooding is expected, sporadic tornadoes are possible,” the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said.
“If you are in the area you should monitor weather reports and follow the advice of local authorities.”
The depression was forecast to start affecting southern and central Florida from yesterday (Wednesday).
The depression is expected to be upgraded to Tropical Storm Nicole, the FCO cautioned.
