Channel 4’s coverage of the Italian A League on a Saturday morning has increased demand for football weekends to Rome, Milan and Juventus.
Specialist operator Mission Impossible can arrange tickets to see top teams such as Roma, Lazio, AC and Inter Milan.
Ticket prices typically start at £65, rising to £85 for better seats. A local derby would push prices up to the £100 mark.
A Mission Impossible spokesman said:”We sell between 20 and 30 tickets a week. Group bookings are particularly popular.
“We concentrate on tickets only as the destinations are so easy to get to, especially with budget airlines.”
Mission Impossible also sells tickets for Formula One racing at Italy’s Imola and Monza circuits. Prices range from £5 to £300.
Liaisons Abroad is ticket wholesaler for a number of events in Italy including football and Formula-One racing. It can also book city centre hotels.
Managing director Masimina Caneva said:”About 75% of our clients are travel agents – we work alongside their requirements.”
Liaisons offers a price guide of around £70 for a ticket in the second tier of a stadium for an A League football match.
Double rooms at the four-star Grand Duomo in Milan, or the Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome, start at £185 per night.
