Canadian tourist train Rocky Mountaineer is to restructure its sales team under a new international managing director role.
Steve Maksymyk, former vice president of global partnerships and ventures at InterContinental Hotels Group, will take on the position.
The company’s sales teams in Australia, the UK and China will be in his remit. Steve Harris will continue in his role as regional sales director – EMEA and report into Steve.
Maksymyk, who will be based out of the company’s head office in Vancouver, previously spent more than six years in Shanghai, China, as a management consultant with a focus on distribution channels and digital capabilities.
