Former Thomas Cook and MyTravel boss Phil Aird-Mash is to become chief executive of ITC Travel Group.
Aird-Mash, who was chief executive of Thomas Cook’s independent businesses and managing director at MyTravel, will begin his role at the luxury travel group in January 2020.
His other former roles include UK and deputy group chief executive of XL and chief executive and chairman of ACC Aviation Group.
He will now head up ITC Travel Group, which is behind tour operating brands including Inspiring Travel Company, Regent Holidays, Rainbow Tours and sports specialist Spectate.
The Chester-headquartered group says the appointment is “the latest in a series of steps to further strengthen and transform the group following NorthEdge Capital’s investment in 2016”.
