More cabins for Fred Olsen’s Boudicca

More cabins are to be added to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ ship Boudicca.

The 839-passenger vessel will enter dry-dock on January 4 following its Christmas Canary Islands cruise for a refurbishment programme.

The refit will see the ship’s fitness centre being moved to create space for 17 new interior cabins.

The fitness centre will be relocated from Atlantic Deck 4 up to the top of the ship on Sun Deck 10. This is the same location as the fitness centre on sister ship, Black Watch.

The work will be carried out by the Blohm + Voss GmbH shipyard in Hamburg. Boudicca will resume service on January 16 with a 14-night cruise to the Canaries from Southampton.

Managing director Mike Rodwell said: “This refurbishment of Boudicca will provide enhanced fitness facilities for guests, with a new fitness centre which will be light and airy, and offer panoramic sea views.”
