Ryanair is claiming a record of more than 29 million website visits and bookings during a ten-day long ‘cyber week’ sale.
The total is more traffic than Tesco’s website receives in a month and more than premiership football club Chelsea FC receives in six months, according to the no-frills carrier.
Cyber Monday, December 2, saw record visits and bookings with more than six million visits to the Ryanair.com website.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said: “Cyber Monday was our busiest ever day for bookings, with over six million visits to the Ryanair.com website, more than the population of Denmark, Ireland or Norway.
“These record visits and bookings reflect continued demand for our low fares, lowest emissions and an even greater choice of destinations on offer.”
