Donna Pettigrew has been named by Midcounties Co-operative as agent support manager for its Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel homeworking division.
She previously held roles as a travel sales specialist and retail sales manager for Virgin Holidays as well as a consultant for Slimming World
Pettigrew will work alongside fellow agent support manager Vicki Pichart at the company’s Walsall headquarters to help develop business for the 170-strong homeworking agents.
Her remit includes the initial training of the agents when they join and running induction courses, liaising with agents, helping with business ideas, setting up training webinars and making introductions.
Sheena Whittle, head of Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel, said: “We’re over the moon to have appointed Donna as agent support manager to the team.
“Her extensive knowledge of the travel industry matched with her experience working for a national franchise as a self-employed consultant made her the ideal candidate.”
Pettigrew added: “Every agent will have a different priority and reason for working in the way that they do.
“My role will be to support agents in building a business that best suits them, whether this is by achieving a work/life balance, freedom for family time or adventure or strong financial performance.”
