Inbound tour operator JAC Travel has merged its operations into a single business and re-branded as JacTravel – pronounced Jack.
The group’s former websites and divisions, JacGroupTravel.com, Jacob Online (jacobres.com), JAC Travel Scotland and JAC Travel Canada have been brought on to a single site – JacTravel.co.uk.
The company is among the leading inbound operators to the UK and Ireland, but also handles travellers to the Continent for the UK trade and long-haul visitors across Europe.
The new brand and simplified structure was announced at World Travel Market, along with a new company strap line – “Online hotels and inbound travel services”.
Group chief executive Mario Bodini said: “The three divisions of our group traded rather like separate entities until a year ago and that was confusing to customers.”
The company has reorganised its operations and upgraded IT infrastructure in the past year and Bodini promised more, saying: “We have plans to continue building our product portfolio and investing in IT.”
JacTravel is set to handle 1.2 million passengers this year and report an annual turnover of £100 million.
