A newly-created role of international inbound travel managing director at the US Travel Association has been filled by Tyler Gosnell.

The former chief brand and marketing officer at Visit Salt Lake will “coalesce the leading players in the international inbound segment” and identify new opportunities to grow the market.

He will also bring his expertise to strengthen the organisation’s IPW international trade show.

US Travel Association president and chief executive Geoff Freeman said “As we hone our focus on the critical international inbound travel segment ahead of a mega-decade of sporting events, US Travel is excited to bring aboard Tyler Gosnell, one of the nation’s leading experts in the space.

“Tyler’s enthusiasm, expertise, global contacts and success in industry collaborations will advance our pursuit of inbound market growth.”

Gosnell added: “The United States is at the forefront of a tremendous opportunity to restore and expand its market share. I’m eager to partner with industry leaders to develop innovative solutions that strengthen our position and enhance global competitiveness.”

Prior to his role in Utah, he was head of global markets for the Royal Commission for the Saudi destination of AlUla, international marketing director at Visit California and global brand strategy director at San Francisco Travel.
