Hays Travel will open a new branch of its Miles Morgan Travel brand in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, early next year.
The chain said the investment in the branch was part of the “clear commitment” to the brand it acquired in May.
The opening brings the total number of Miles Morgan Travel branches to 20, all in the southwest of England and south Wales.
At least five newly recruited employees will be based in the “sizeable” Trowbridge branch.
Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, chief operating officer of Hays Travel, said: “We are very excited about this new Trowbridge branch, which will really strengthen Miles Morgan Travel’s profile in that area and attract new customers to book their holiday with them.”
He said Hays Travel, along with Mandy Shillito, manager director of Miles Morgan Travel, and her team, had identified the opportunity in Wiltshire “some months back”.
“We are delighted to have found the ideal premises in the right place and look forward to it opening in early 2025,” he added.
Shillito commented: “This announcement comes at the perfect time and demonstrates Hays Travel’s commitment to the Miles Morgan Travel brand.
“We only just returned from our first Hays Travel overseas conference – where we were made to feel very welcome – so this news comes at an exciting time as we reflect on what we learned and the strength of our partnership with the Hays team.”
The company is now recruiting for a branch manager, three full-time equivalent travel consultants, and a foreign exchange expert for the new branch.
Shillito said her team is looking for experienced agents, as well as those new to the sector.
“The successful candidates will receive a thorough induction and comprehensive training, from both us and Hays Travel,” she said.
“We are a close-knit team at Miles Morgan travel and really support and inspire each other – we have a mix of experienced travel consultants and some more recent appointments for whom travel was new, and I am thrilled by how well they are progressing. This is vibrant and rewarding profession to be part of.”
