To celebrate the California Classics series of iconic California films showing on Sky Movies and in Picturehouse Cinemas early in 2011, California Tourism is giving away an amazing private cinema screening to one lucky travel agent.
The winning agent will get to host up to 50 staff and clients for a private screening of a Classic California film, with a California wine reception beforehand and a goodie bag for all guests.
Fifteen runners-up will receive a DVD of a Classic California film, and you can also request complimentary tickets to the Picturehouse screenings throughout February.
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is tell us your ultimate California film scene. Perhaps it would be Julia Roberts revelling in her spending spree in Pretty Woman, Tom Cruise singing along with the jukebox in Top Gun or Patrick Swayze riding the big wave in Point Break.
The choice is endless, so get your thinking caps on and tell us which scene stands out and makes you want to visit the Golden State.
Here’s an example of what we’re looking for:
My classic California scene has to be the finale to The Rock, when Nicolas Cage lights the flares on Alcatraz Island to call off the jet attack. The whole film shows off some iconic sights in San Francisco, one of the greatest cities in the world and one that should be on any customer’s wish list of places to visit.
