Shearings Holidays’ first solo travel brochure aims to cater for growing demand in the single traveller market.
It will feature new holidays exclusively for solo travellers, plus existing tours with extra single room allocations added.
There are 42 tours in total – 18 in the UK and 24 in Europe – plus seven ocean and four river cruises with good single cabin availability.
New marketing material will be added to the operator’s agent toolkit and brochures will arrive at agencies from December 27.
Jane Atkins, Shearings Holidays managing director, said: “We’ve seen the demand for solo travel go from strength to strength.
“We worked hard to create new products that we felt would work well and we used feedback from both our agent and customer panel events to help guide this process.
“Travelling with an escorted group offers customers the security of travelling with others but the flexibility and independence of being able to choose what they do in resort.
“We are seeing bookings from friends who like travelling together but want the privacy of their own room, individuals who have a different interest to their partners and want to go off on holiday to enjoy it plus, of course, solo travellers who like the feeling and security of travelling as part of a group.”
