Wyndham Worldwide, parent company of Hoseasons, has bought villa tour operator James Villa Holidays.
James Villas offers about 2,500 rental properties around the Mediterranean and handles 75,000 clients a year, but deals direct with consumers only. The acquisition will take the number of Hoseasons rental properties close to 18,000.
Hoseasons forms part of the US-based hospitality corporation’s exchange and rentals division, Wyndham Exchange and Rentals, following its £51-million purchase in February this year.
Outgoing Wyndham Exchange and Rentals European managing director Ian Ailles confirmed James Villas would join the Hoseasons Group. An Abta board member, Ailles will return to previous employer Thomas Cook as head of the company’s UK mainstream division in January.
