Cover Stars: the agents you voted onto our front page

We had entries from the brightest and the best the travel trade has to offer and now we can reveal the 12 winning agents who will feature on the front of Travel Weekly next year.

We received thousands of votes and the 12 who received the most votes are from travel companies across the UK.

Each will now receive a makeover, style consultation and professional photo shoot at Bicester Village in Oxfordshire, and will enjoy a fam trip with either Trafalgar, Insight Vacations or Contiki, courtesy of our sponsors The One Stop Touring Shop.

‘Passion for our industry’

Travel Weekly editor Lucy Huxley said: “Our 12 Travel Weekly Cover Stars represent everything that’s good about the travel industry, and we look forward to showcasing them all in the magazine throughout 2011.

“The list of winners includes multiples and independents, and both homeworkers and high street agents and the thing that unites them is their passion for their jobs and our industry.”

Huxley added: “We are extremely grateful for the support of The One Stop Touring Shop in helping us to celebrate our readers in this way, and to Bicester Village for hosting our cover shoot and dressing our winners in some incredible designer clothes.”

One Stop Touring Shop director of sales Paul Melinis said: “We are delighted to see such a broad spectrum of frontline travel sellers making the final 12, and we are looking forward to welcoming them on a Trafalgar, Insight Vacations or Contiki fam trip in 2011.

“We are supporting Travel Weekly’s Cover Stars competition as it mirrors our own philosophy of supporting and celebrating the very best travel agents in the UK. The travel trade is absolutely key to our success, and at the One Stop Touring Shop we will always make sure we do our best to give them everything they need to do business.

“Congratulations to all 12 winners, and I look forward to meeting them during their fantastic cover shoot at Bicester Village.”
