Regent Hotels & Resorts has established a new global sales network with offices in London and New York.
The three-strong team will be responsible for building sales via travel agencies for Regent’s portfolio of properties in Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.
Regent plans to expand its global sales network by opening further sales offices in Tokyo, Shanghai and Beijing in 2011.
Jo Clark has been appointed as London-based director of sales for Europe – one of three global sales positions for the brand which is owned by Taiwan-based Formosa International Hotels Corporation (FIHC).
Clark previously spent six years at The Leading Hotels of the World as account manager cultivating new business for the corporate and leisure markets. She began her career in the travel industry at Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Erika Limmer, most recently sales director for The Regent Berlin, will concentrate on the brand’s US Western source markets while Karin Cohen, previously with Shangri-La Hotels, will focus on the US East Coast from Regent’s new office in New York.
Regent Hotels & Resorts, senior vice president Christine Hodder said: “Erika, Karin and Jo possess an extensive knowledge of the luxury market segment in North America and Europe.
“All three have longstanding, deep relationships with the luxury travel agent community, top agency consortia and key corporate travel managers and meeting planners.
“These established relationships along with their proven track records in hospitality sales will be tremendous assets for us as we re-establish Regent as the leading luxury global hotel brand.”
