Ski Club of Great Britain reveals new website

A complete redesign for the Ski Club of Great Britain website has been unveiled with updated content and improved navigation.

The new community-based site will allow skiers and snowboarders to comment on news stories as well as add opinion into information and advice sections.

A chat forum provides the opportunity for members to share feedback, advice and views and to raise their own discussion topics.

The new website will be a beta version for the forthcoming season with further developments being introduced throughout the winter.

The enhancements will provide additional opportunities for user-generated content, and include comparison tools and the ability to upload videos in addition to photos, creating an even more active online community.

The site skiclub.co.uk will continue to provide skiers and snowboarders up-to-date advice, news, resort guides and snow conditions.

A strong emphasis has been placed on photography and video, designed to play a key role on the site acting to inspire and to inform visitors.

The club’s new media manager Abi Lee said: “The redesign and re-launch of the Ski Club website really has revealed its wealth of content with users being able to find what they are looking for so much more easily.

“We believe the changes made to the site will help people to access the wealth of information which the Club has brought together into one place to help plan the perfect ski holiday.

“The site provides useful tools when out in resort, and opportunities to share and enjoy memories afterwards.” The launch follows a rebrand of the Ski Club in September.
