Cruise and Maritime Voyages rejoins Clia

Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) has rejoined Clia after a three-year spell away from the trade association.

Clia UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said the association looked forward to supporting CMV.

CMV is adding two more ships to its fleet, which currently stands at six ships, next year as it targets 200,000 global passengers.

The line recently opened an office in Marseille to support the redeployment of its Astor ship to the French market in 2021.

Group commercial director Chris Coates said: “With an expanding ocean fleet and international market, we believe the time is right to re-establish links with Clia and the close working relationship previously enjoyed.

“The expansion of the global industry fleet brings increased challenges which we consider are best served with all stakeholders working together.”

Harmer added: “We are delighted to welcome back Cruise and Maritime Voyages as a Clia cruise line member.

“As the line grows its fleet and presence across the UK and the world, Clia looks forward to supporting CMV through our training tools, online resources and travel agent events.”
