n GB Airways starts search for new md



GBAirways is searching for a new managing director after John Osborne left to take up the same role at Virgin Express. GBAirways chairman Joseph Gaggero and deputy James Gaggero will run the company until a successor is found.



n Carlson signs middle east franchise



Carlson Hospitality Worldwide has signed a master franchise agreement with Kuwaiti company Al-Kharafi to take Country Inns and Suites to the Middle East. Al-Kharafi plans to create 10 properties in the next 10 years in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.



n millennium dome tickets now on sale



Tickets have gone on sale for the Millennium Dome, priced £20 for adults, £16.50 for children, £18 for senior citizens and £57 for families. n new sales director for keys tourism



The Florida Keys and Key West tourism council has appointed Stacey Clarke Mitchell to the position of sales director in the UK. She replaces Bonnie Stanfill, now director of sales for the Grand Key Resort in Key West.



n brittanic teams up with BAfor prize draw



Britannic Travel has teamed up with British Airways and Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts in a travel agents’ prize draw to win one of six round-the-world trips. Agents who book at least one return flight with BA will be eligible for the draw. The first month’s trip is to Barcelona, Dubai, Bangkok, Melbourne, Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro.Le Meridien is offeringtwo nights’ freeaccommodation at each destination.
