A new chief executive has been named at Riviera Travel to succeed David Clemson.
Phil Hullah, who joined the river cruise and escorted tours operator in October as chief operating officer, is stepping up to take the helm on March 2.
He succeeds Clemson, who will stay as a shareholder and non-executive director having overseen a seven-fold rise in revenues since joining the company in 2008.

Clemson is also credited with introducing and building a successful agency sales channel for the company.
He also intends to pursue other non-executive roles for the next phase of his career.
Hullah is a former managing director of Laithwaites Wine and commercial director of John Lewis. He joined Riviera from digital education business AVADO, where he was deputy chairman after eight years as chief executive.
Clemson said: “It’s been a huge privilege to lead Riviera. I am deeply grateful to Riviera’s fantastic team, its founder Michael Wright and the board for their tireless commitment to the business.
“I would like to thank our loyal customers and channel partners for continuing to put their trust in us year after year.
“Having worked with Phil over the last few months, I am confident that the business will thrive under his leadership.”
Hullah added: “It’s a very exciting time for the business as we expand across all our product lines and continue to improve the customer experience.
“I look forward to working with the team to build on everything that has been achieved in recent years.”
Riviera chairman Andrew Strong said: “I want to thank David for his outstanding leadership as CEO.
“During his tenure, the business has grown into the market leader it is today while maintaining Riviera’s culture of dedication to delivering an outstanding customer experience.”
