Jet2.com has appointed former Heathrow Airport general manaager for Asia, Pacific and Asia Ashley Cowen as operations director across its eight bases.
Cowen, who has had operational roles at British Airways, CitiExpress and Heathrow Airport, is tasked with looking after ground operations, operations control and crew.
In one of Cowen’s former roles, as general manager of planning and control at Heathrow Airport, he was heavily involved in the improvement of operations at Terminal 5 following its opening in 2008. His most recent role was as area general manager for Asia, Pacific and Africa at the airport.
Jet2.com managing director Ian Doubtfire said: “With an enviable track record, and bringing with him a wealth of experience from previous roles in the aviation industry, I am confident that Ashley will prove a valuable addition to the team.”
