Abta has confirmed Palma in Majorca will host this year’s Travel Convention as revealed by Travel Weekly two weeks ago.
The convention will take place between Monday October 3 and 5 and delegates have been advised to book flights soon to get the best deal. Convention sessions will take place in the Palacio de Congresos at the Pueblo Espanol (The Spanish Village).
Registrations will open online at www.thetravelconvention.com on Tuesday May 3. The site will offer delegates discounts by booking to stay at official convention hotels which will include the Gran Meliá Victoria, Melia Palas Atenea and Tryp Bellver.
Booking through the Convention office will also secure complimentary transfers to the business sessions and social events. Abta said a new format has been created for this year’s event, designed to help delegates minimise their time out of the office whilst making the most of their time at the Convention.
Mark Tanzer, Abta chief executive, said: “We are delighted that this year’s Travel Convention will be staged in Palma. It will be the fifth time in ABTA’s history that our annual gathering has taken place in Mallorca’s capital city.
“This year’s programme is shaping up to be one of the strongest yet and will be a not-to-be-missed event. I look forward to seeing you all there.”
