SCOTTSDALE PRINCESS COMPLETES $10M REVAMP
The 650-room Scottsdale Princess resort near Phoenix, Arizona, has completed a $10m renovation of all its guest rooms and bar area and introduced poolside Cabanas which are available for rent. The property is operated by Canadian Pacific Hotels.
DISNEY BOLSTERS LONDON-BASED TEAM
Disney has appointed two more staff to its London-based team. They are marketing manager Alasdair Farrimond and marketing and sales assistant Sonja Petch. Both previously worked for Universal Studios Escape.
HILTON SEATTLE CENTRE SET FOR $35M EXPANSION
The Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Centre in Washington State is undergoing a $35m renovation and expansion that will include a new 38,000sq ft meetings facility and another 265 rooms, bringing the total to 400. Further additions include a fitness centre, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and restaurant and bar serving classic northwestern cuisine. Work will finish in autumn 2000.
PARIS LAS VEGAS CASINO RESORT OPENS
The Paris Las Vegas Casino Resort, Las Vegas’ latest hotel, opened on September 1. It has 2,916 rooms, an 85,000sq ft casino, eight French restaurants, five lounges, 140,000sq ft of meeting space and a rooftop pool. It is represented in the UK by Cellet Travel Services.
