A new travel recruitment company has been set up by Jayne Peirce, a former account director at Gail Kenny.
Peirce said her new start-up, Jayne Peirce Recruitment Solutions, would go head to head with the four main players in the sector.
The site launched last week and Peirce said she had already been contacted by a number of potential clients.
The company launches with three members of staff and Peirce is looking to expand to five within 12 months.
She said: “After five successful years in travel and online recruitment, I felt I could add value to the sector and bring my own service levels and ideas to improve the experience for clients and candidates with a more focused and dedicated offering.”
“I recognise that in a downturn and a difficult economy starting a recruitment company is difficult but I believe our service and my personal attention to detail will help us gain customers. It’s not like we have no pedigree. I want to work closely with both employers and candidates and I think people want a more personal service and focused service. This will be our edge.
“I believe there are currently four main players in the sector my organisation sits within and I think there is definitely space for a fifth.”
