Orient-Express has launched a trade-only website to provide agents with news and information on the group’s hotels and experiences.

The homepage features Orient-Express’ latest exclusive offers and services as well as product information. The ‘exclusives’ section enables agents to access ideas for celebrations and special master classes.

A spokeswoman said: “The new extranet was designed with the objective of providing our travel trade partners with useful content that will help them close sales with their clients.”

The hotel group, which has 41 properties, also operates the invite-only Bellini Club for top-selling agents, providing them with training and benefits. The Club has its own dedicated site.

Meanwhile, Orient-Express is getting ready to open the Palacio Nazarenas, a former convent, in Cuzco, Peru in early 2012. The $14 million project will see the creation of the first full spa and outdoor heated swimming pool in the city.

Other developments include a new spa at the Hotel Splendido in Portofino.
