WTM Vision, World Travel Market’s one day conference in London next month, will hear from former Selfridges chief executive and retail expert Peter Williams.
He completes the line-up of speakers at the event that also includes Tui specialists managing director Clare Tobin, Shearings chief executive Denis Wormwell, Royal Caribbean International UK & Ireland managing director Dominic Paul an Expedia.co.uk and hotels.com head of marketing Matthew Walls. The event will take place on May 25 at the CBI’s Conference Centre.
Williams, who now has non-executive positions at online fashion retailer ASOS, Cineworld and Siverstone Holdings, has more than two decades retail experience 13 of which was spent at Selfridges where he held the roles of chief executive and chief financial officer.
He has also held positions at EMI Group, JJB Sports and Alpha Airports Group. He will take part in the Consumer Retail Spending Trends in 2011 session, which will look at consumer spending patterns over the next 12 months.
The half-day conference starts with an overview of the global travel and tourism industry with Euromonitor International. Head of travel and tourism research Caroline Bremner will reveal the organisation’s latest report which will be given free to all delegates.
