Wendy Wu Tours is encouraging people within the travel industry to join it in the 2.6 Challenge on Sunday, April 26 – the traditional date of the London Marathon.
The lockdown event has been created to help plug a fundraising deficit for charities that would normally benefit from the marathon, with people encouraged to take part in an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26.
Wendy Wu sales director John Warr (pictured), a multiple marathon runner, said he hoped the industry would take part and share videos and photos of themselves in action.
In a Facebook post, the operator said: “We hope you are keeping safe and well during these challenging times. Many fundraising events have been postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus.
“Wendy Wu Tours are inviting you, your family & friends to take part in the 2.6 Challenge on Sunday 26th April.
“We are asking you to take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26. So whether that’s a 26 mile bike ride, 26 star jumps in the comfort of your living room, or even 26 pancake flips, it’s time to get creative.”
