Closures further extended by Butlin’s, Haven and Warner

Butlin’s, Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels have extended closures of their parks and hotels.

The three Butlin’s resorts will remain closed until June 7, while Haven parks and Warner hotels will be shut until May 31.

The decision by the three Bourne Leisure will affect May half-term breaks.

The company previously extended closures from April 17 to May 14.

Butlin’s has introduced a coronavirus ‘book with confidence guarantee’ to help with re-bookings.

Haven said: “The coronavirus continues to affect the lives of each and every one of us – from our guests to our owners to our teams.

“As we continue to follow the direction provided by the government, it is now clear we will be unable to offer the usual Haven experience for a longer period of time, and so we have taken the decision to temporarily extend the closure of all our parks.

“We have been in contact with all guests who have affected breaks up until 14 May 2020.

“We are now contacting everyone who has a break booked between 15 May-31 May 2020.”

Haven is offering refunds or the option to:

  • Change date to another break in 2020 or 2021 and receive a £50 food and beverage voucher to spend on park
  • Transfer funds into a holding account for use at another time plus a £50 voucher

The brand added: “We trust you appreciate that we are all working in extreme and unprecedented times and because of this the Haven team is working remotely.

“We are receiving high levels of inbound calls and emails as well as social media messages and we are doing our very best to respond as quickly as we can.

“This decision has been made with the safety and security of our guests, owners and teams as our number one priority.”

Those with Warner bookings are also being offered refunds or the option to rebook and receive a £25 voucher for a one-night stay, £50 for two nights and £100 for three nights or more.

“We are working hard to reschedule your entertainment to later in the year and we will be in touch with a new rescheduled break,” Warner said.
