Royal Caribbean brands extend Cruise with Confidence policy

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd brands have extended their Cruise with Confidence cancellation policy through to April 2022.

The brands – Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara – are allowing agents and their customers to cancel cruises up to 48 hours prior to sailings and receive a future cruise credit for the full fare.

The policy applies to all bookings made by August 1, 2020, and existing bookings of sailings on or before April 2022.

New rebooking options have also been added to the policy. They are:

  • Best Price Guarantee: Where guests can choose to change the price and promotional offer on their reservation up to 48 hours before their cruise.
  • Lift and Shift: Up to 48 hours prior to sailing, travellers have the option to ‘lift and shift’ their cruise to the same itinerary departing on a future date. The original price and promotional offer on the reservation will be retained, along with the length of the cruise and stateroom category.

“Guests are reacting positively to our Cruise with Confidence policy because it enables them to make informed decisions and to better manage complicated travel plans during this unprecedented time of uncertainty,” said chairman and chief executive Richard Fain.

“We want our guests to feel they can safely keep their existing cruise bookings or schedule new sailings because this policy gives them more freedom and flexibility.”
