Five routes from Glasgow to Spanish destinations are being added by Jet2.com for next summer.
The budget airline is to serve Barcelona, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Malaga and Murcia with fares starting at £29.99 one way including taxes.
Flights to Barcelona, Lanzarote, Malaga and Murcia are scheduled to start in March with Ibiza served twice a week from May 2012.
The airline has also put on sale 2012 flights to four destinations proving popular this summer from Scotland, to Alicante, Faro, Majorca and Tenerife. Capacity is being increased by 20% to Alicante, Faro and Malaga and an additional service will run to Tenerife.
Jet2.com has also overhauled its website so all taxes and charges are now included from the outset so that users get a sense of their total costs up front.
Managing director Ian Doubtfire said: “There’s no doubt this is an exciting time for us at Glasgow airport. In just two months since we started flying from our newest base we have launched five new routes and also increased capacity to some of our most popular destinations – this demonstrates how committed we are to growing the range of great value destinations we offer to customers across Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
“We are really pleased with bookings so far with 150,000 seats already sold, covering both Jet2.com and Jet2holidays passengers.”
