KLM returns to Leeds Bradford

KLM is reinstating daily flights between Leeds Bradford airport and Amsterdam Schiphol to assist with essential travel and repatriation.

The route will be operated from July 4 using a 100-seat Embraer 190.

The Dutch carrier’s UK and Ireland general manageer Benedicte Duval said: As borders reopen and travel restrictions begin to ease, safety is a prerequisite for KLM as we gradually resume travel.

“After this challenging period, we are delighted to be able to welcome our Yorkshire based customers back on board.

“As we all adapt to this new environment, I can assure you that all KLM staff, both on the ground and on board, are committed to guaranteeing our passengers the highest levels of health and safety.”

Leeds Bradford airport chief commercial officerJoana Wild added: “This is an important and popular route, as passengers are able to access 165 KLM destinations worldwide via Amsterdam.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming travellers and holidaymakers at our airport in the coming months, and we’re working closely with KLM, as well as other industry partners, to ensure the wellbeing of all staff and passengers.”
