Jeffrey Archer to speak at Travel Convention

Best selling author and former Conservative Party deputy chairman Lord Jeffrey Archer is to close this year’s Travel Convention.


He is to close the three-day Abta event in Palma, Majorca on October 5.


Lord Archer spent five years as an MP in the House of Commons and 16 years in the House of Lords.


He has achieved book sales of more than 200 million with titles such as Kane and Abel, First Among Equals, Honour Among Thieves and A Prisoner of Birth.


Abta said: “Lord Archer’s experiences as a politician and author are guaranteed to provide an entertaining finale to this year’s convention.”


Other speakers confirmed for the event include International Airlines group chief executive Willie Walsh, and Tui Travel chief executive Peter Long interviewing  Iberostar executive chairman Miguel Fluxa.
