British family killed in Jamaica road crash

Three members of a British family have been killed in a road crash while on holiday in Jamaica.

Three others were injured when their mini bus collided with a pick-up truck on the road from Kingston to Montego Bay, according to police.

Kathleen Rawlinson, 45, of Windermere, died at the scene, while her ex-partner Gary Bamford, 49, of Ludlow, and his daughter, Caisie Muller, 17, from Brighton, were pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Rawlinson’s daughter Josie,  25, from Windermere, was injured and is in a serious but stable condition in hospital. Her 22-year-old partner suffered minor injuries, as did Bamford’s 15-year-old son Owen, from Brighton.

Talei Jones, a family friend from Canada, was also killed in the crash.

Miss Rawlinson used a wheelchair having been injured in a previous car accident in Spain years ago.
