Multi-award winning travel agency Audley Travel is reported to be seeking investment to back a move into international markets.
The Sunday Times reported that the firm had hired accountants BDO to find investment, although the company itself declined to comment. The story was then run by The Independent yesterday.
Audley Travel is an upmarket specialist that sells tailor made holidays worldwide to most long-haul destinations around the world. It has been a regular winner of industry accolades including scooping the best travel agent website at last year’s Travolution Awards, the sister publication of Travel Weekly.
Audley Travel was founded by Craig Burkinshaw and John Brewer in 1996, then named Asian Journeys. It employs 170 people and is based in Witney, Oxfordshire.
