The Business School will commence in mid-November and is being run by newly-appointed manager Angela McKenna. McKenna previously worked for Queens Moat, Jury’s and Virgin Hotels.

HOTEL consortium Golden Tulip Worldwide is to launch a business school to train its members’ hoteliers on key aspects of hotel management.

The courses will include yield management, business planning, Golden Tulip business practice and several sales training courses ranging from basic selling skills through to strategic selling techniques.

Director of marketing for Golden Tulip Worldwide Ruth Dawson said: “These courses are designed specifically to help our members improve and enhance their sales, marketing and operational skills, and increase revenue and staff effectiveness. Hoteliers can also benefit from sharing ideas and information with colleagues from other hotels.”
