Plans have been confirmed by Avani Hotels & Resorts to go ahead with expansion despite the global economic slowdown from Covid-19.
The brand, part of Thailand-based Minor Hotels, aims to open more than ten new properties including entry into in four new countries.
The development pipeline includes hotels and resorts in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean.
Openings are planned this year in Thailand and Dubai, followed by others next year in Vietnam, Oman, Kenya, Thailand and the Maldives; Vietnam and Malaysia in 2022 and Myanmar in 2024.
Additionally, the company has renovated hotels in Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Bali during lockdown.
Minor Hotels chief executive Dillip Rajakarier said: “We are pleased that our partners are reaffirming their commitment to long-term growth with Avani, as demonstrated in their decision to continue with the delivery of at least seven new properties by the end of 2021.
