Travelsphere already accounts for more sales through the trade than other Page & Moy Travel Group brands less than a year after being made available to agents.
Page & Moy and Just You were launched to the trade four years ago and agent sales make up 14.4% and 4% respectively.
For Travelsphere, the largest brand in terms of numbers, the trade accounts for 8.1% and, according to sales director Colin Wilson, is set to have an even better 2012.
He said: “The speed of take-up has surpassed what we had hoped for. Agents have been actively pushing and promoting it, especially the value using lead-in prices such as less than £1,000 for a China tour.”
Wilson is a strong believer in fam trips and plans to run North America and China trips next year. He also revealed that an online booking platform would be introduced at the end of the year following requests from agents.
A number of brochures will launch at the end of this month including Travelsphere’s Sights of Europe by Coach & Rail, Page & Moy’s Journeys by Rail and Just You’s Europe & Worldwide.
