Transfers4Travel poised to sign two major consortia deals

Fledgling transfers business Transfers4Travel is poised to seal distribution deals with two major agency groups.

Established 12 months ago by former Holiday Taxis head of sales Damian Mc Donough, the business is set to be supplying Global Travel Group and TTA Worldchoice.

Talks are also taking place with other agency groups, confirmed director McDonough, who expects the firm to expand to be covering 60 countries by the start of 2012.

Backed by the Vertical Group, Transfers4Travel has been working with in-house agents while building its stock and website functionality.

The company is taking a focus on private transfers for groups in an effort to avoid becoming reliant on lower margin airport shuttles.

It has also created a flexible system for clients wanting transfers to and from cruise ships, hotels, airports and train stations across multiple destinations.

“We have a big focus on cruise transfers and believe our open ended shopping basket for cruise and stay passengers is the first of its kind,” said McDonough. “We see it as a fully-flexible itinerary builder.”

The portfolio of destinations is to be expanded with the addition of more long haul options in Australia, Asia, South Africa and South America. Private city transfers are also being developed in key destinations such as Venice, Rome, Las Vegas, New York and Paris for Disneyland Paris.
