Holiday Extras has created a guide on how to travel to the UK’s top 12 holiday destinations – including those that the FCO advises against travelling to, such as Spain and France.
The add-ons specialist argues that it’s possible for UK holidaymakers to fly “almost anywhere in the world”, aside from some countries which have closed their borders such as New Zealand and the US.
It’s new guide, How to Fly (Almost) Everywhere, gives advice on entry for UK visitors, quarantine measures on return home, information on impacted flight schedules, whether package holidays are operating and insurance recommendations in the 12 destinations.
Holiday Extras says it hopes the guide will provide up-to-date information for travellers in line with government travel advice as and when it changes.
The firm said: “Whilst we hear a lot in the news about countries being ‘open’ or ‘closed’, in reality almost nowhere is closed. Some countries are easier, and yes safer, to travel to than others (and wherever you go, you should take out appropriate insurance).
“Ultimately the decision on whether the trip is essential is up to the holidaymakers themselves, and this guide lays bare the risks and inconveniences of travelling to countries, whilst explaining which countries are least likely to be under threat of quarantine. For everyone who has a trip they consider essential; for everyone who booked a trip and are unable to cancel it; for everyone who simply wants to know where it’s possible to go…this guide is for them.”
Seamus McCauley, editor at Holiday Extras, added: “With travel advice changing by the day, the most up to date information can be difficult to find for multiple countries. Our straightforward guide contains all the information in one place and is updated regularly to ensure customers always have a clear idea on how to get to their holiday destination. At Holiday Extras, we believe that with transparency on how and where to travel, our customers can have support to make their travel decisions with confidence.”
