Allure of the Seas to appear in TV travel series

The world’s largest cruise ship, Allure of the Seas, is to be showcased in the first of a new TV travel series fronted by comedian Paul Merton.

He will be seen taking a Caribbean cruise on board the giant Royal Caribbean International ship.

The show sees Merton declining the offer to zip-wire across the top deck. He also turns down an offer to participate in Allure’s belly-flopping competition.

Merton, a Have I Got News For You team captain, said: “I was amazed by the vastness of the vessel. You only appreciate how tall the ship is when you disembark and realise you’ve been in a floating tower block.”

The Channel 5 show, Paul Merton’s Adventures, is begins on Wednesday October 19 at 9pm.
