Co-operative Travel appoints stand-in homeworker boss

The Co-operative Travel’s homeworking group has appointed Shirley Bell as acting head after the departure of Sheena Darby.

The company is continuing to search for a permanent replacement for Darby, who recently left her role as head of the Personal Travel Advisors business to move to Midcounties Co-op.

Bell is currently business support manager, having spent 12 years with the Co-operative Travel homeworking business.

Retail distribution director Trevor Davis told staff in an email that Bell had been appointed in the acting role while he seeks a replacement for Darby.

“I would like to personally thank Sheena for her hard work and contribution over the past eight years and wish her every happiness and success in her new career,” he said. Davis added: “I have no doubt that Shirley will fulfil her role with her usual infectious enthusiasm and personal commitment.”
