Arena River Cruises has announced its new ship MS Arena will launch in April 2021, a year later than originally planned.
The exclusively-chartered flagship vessel was due to debut in the spring of this year but the launch was delayed due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.
The four-star ship is offering a range of cruises along the waterways of Europe, including the Rhine and its tributaries, the Dutch Waterways and the Danube.
A full programme of itineraries can now be booked online, including springtime cruises, longer duration trips and short festive breaks for 2021.
The ship features en-suite cabins with panoramic windows, an elevated sun deck, wellness suite and refurbished communal areas.
Steve Goodenough, managing director of Arena River Cruises, said: “Naturally we have been disappointed not to have been able to welcome passengers aboard the MS Arena so far this year, but the vast majority of bookings have been transferred to 2021 and interest in advance bookings for next year is already encouraging.”
He added: “Our ‘price guarantee’ promise also means that however the travel situation continues to unfold our cruises won’t be sold for less, so customers can plan ahead with confidence.”
Cruises for 2021 include a four-night Delightful Dutch Bulbfields itinerary out of Amsterdam, from £499; 15-day The Danube to the Black Sea cruise from Germany to the Black Sea coast and back, from £1,995; and 13-day The Ultimate Rhine & Danube cruise, from £1,695. All include a cruise manager throughout.
Christmas and New Year 2021 departures are also now available to book, including a five day Christmas Markets cruise along the Rhine Valley from £499.
