Stag, hen and honeymoons specialist Redseven has taken over direct rival Eclipse Leisure in an undisclosed cash deal.
Redseven acquired Eclipse Leisure’s assets, including the company name and its forward bookings.
Both companies are based in Brighton and Eclipse staff will start working at Redseven’s offices from today (Monday).
“There are no redundancies resulting from the acquisition,” Redseven said.
Company founder and managing director Ian Lucas said: “It’s a very exciting time for the hen and stag market right now.
“Both Eclipse and Redseven are bucking the trends in the travel industry, and we have seen increased demand and recorded growth of 35% this year.
“Now is the time to consolidate, streamline costs and sustain this growth into the future, as the upturn in demand filters through into additional profit.
“Our acquisition of one of our like-minded competitors will help us achieve that goal and I am delighted to welcome Eclipse to the Redseven Leisure Group.”
