Coach holiday specialist goes into administration

Coach operator Crusader Holidays has gone into administration.

The company based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, has called in administrators Ernst and Young. The firm, established in 1974, was a member of the Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme which protects clients’ money.

The company offered holidays from 120 departure points across East Anglia and the South East. A Confederation of Passenger Transport spokesman said customers who have paid for a package holiday will get a full refund.

Customers will be contacted over the next few days with details of how to get their money back, he said.

“While appreciating the disappointment and upheaval these situations cause to people looking forward to their holidays, it does highlight the benefits of customers ensuring the package holiday they book is with a company that is the member of the Bonded Holiday Scheme,” he said.
