Aer Lingus passenger numbers up 7%

Aer Lingus passenger numbers rose by 7% in November to 699,000 over the same month last year.


When the Irish carrier’s regional operations are included, the increase was up by 8.8%.


The rise represents a continuing trend in recent results, with the November load factor up by 3.1 percentage points to 75.4%. Short-haul carryings rose by 7.4% to 624,000 while long-haul numbers were up by 4.2% to 75,000 in the month.


Aer Lingus regional passenger numbers were up by more than 30% to 69,000.
