Clia chief Harmer joins Travel.Radio presenting line-up

Clia UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer is to present a new cruise-focused show on the recently-launched 24-hour digital radio station Travel.Radio.

Harmer will present The Cruise Hour every Monday between 2-3pm, offering news and insights as well as interviews with industry guests.

He said: “I am delighted to join the Travel.Radio presenting team to host the brand-new Cruise Hour show. Just like going on a cruise, the show promises to bring fun and entertainment while also keeping listeners up to date with the latest news from the cruise industry.”

Debbie Henley, chief executive of Travel.Radio, said: “It is a huge honour to welcome Andy to our team as he brings another dimension of the travel industry. With his years of experience and knowledge I am confident his shows will be both amusing and informative.”

She added: “The Cruise Hour will air every Monday immediately after Sam Kane’s Afternoon Travel Show, another cruise favourite.

“Former West End star Sam has been in the entertainment industry for over 35 years and in recent years has been performing his one-man show to international audiences on the world’s biggest cruise ships.”

Travel.Radio launched in mid-October and is the first global digital radio station exclusively for the travel trade and industry partners. It is broadcast 24-hours a day on www.travel.radio and is also available on smart speakers.
