Flight Centre UK has launched a new video advertisement urging customers in the second lockdown to book a holiday to avoid the ‘Groundhog Day’ feeling and have something to look forward to.
The one-minute video, shows the repetitiveness of life in lockdown, followed by holiday scenes and urges viewers to “stop dreaming, start planning” adding: “Your 2021 adventure awaits”.
“If you feel like you’re living Groundhog Day now that we’re in the UK’s second lockdown, you’re not the only one,” the agency said claiming to “sense the tone of the nation as we begin to look forward to the day in the not-so-distant future when we can leave our mundane routines far behind us and get travelling once again”.
A spokeswoman added: “We may be stuck in a dull, daily routine now, but there’s no reason we can’t get planning our next great escape to break the monotony!
“While we may not be able to travel anywhere more exotic than our local supermarket at the moment, Flight Centre’s expert travel consultants are fully trained to organise anti-Groundhog Day holidays – trips that take you to a new destination with a new activity every day.”
To stimulate bookings, Flight Centre is offering deposits from £49 and flexible booking terms include no fees to amend bookings and balance due dates six weeks before travel.
