Travel agents, customers, suppliers and even agents’ children will tell their success stories in a new book launched by Travel Counsellors aimed at boosting business from referrals.
The company is set to release the first edition of its book entitled ‘The World of Travel Counsellors’ which features a selection of anecdotes told by individual Travel Counsellors, customers and suppliers, including quotes from their partners and children.
The book will be given free to customers and updated each year with new stories from agents’ careers.
Camforth-based Travel Counsellor Deb Weatherall, whose story features in the book, said: “I had clients returning from Las Vegas one wintry morning, so I went to their house to take a picture of it covered in snow and sent it to their iPhone with advice to wrap up warm for their arrival in Gatwick.”
Steve Byrne, managing director of Travel Counsellors, said that the opportunity to tell stories about employees handling customers well is important to the company.
He said: “Our Travel Counsellors build their business through referral and that is based on stories. Each customer will have a story of how their Travel Counsellor will have done something or made them feel special. They tell their family and friends.”
