Abta is asking members to be front and centre of its annual Travel with Confidence campaign this year.

The association has asked the trade to submit videos with the view of them being used on social media advertising as it looks to build consumer confidence in travel and promote the value of booking with experts.

The chosen clips will be edited by a video production company before being run over platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter when the campaign launches after Christmas.

Full videos will also be used across Abta’s channels. More information on what the association is looking for in the videos can be found on the Member Zone of its website.

Abta’s head of brand and marketing, Shelly Beresford, said members could contact her directly for more information. She added: “Through this year’s campaign we want to really celebrate the role and value of an Abta travel professional, particularly emphasising the expertise they bring to help people book with confidence.

“We’re calling on Abta Members to get involved in this year’s Travel with Confidence campaign by sending us a video we can use in the social media strand of the campaign.

“It doesn’t matter who you are or what type of holidays you sell, we want to hear from you. The idea is for members to submit a selfie video, no longer than 60 seconds, and we are not looking for a professional, polished interview scenario, the theme is authenticity – real people, real knowledge and expertise, and real experience of travel.”
