Financial journalist Esther Shaw has joined Teletext Holidays as a blogger offering independent advice about ways to save for holidays and how to travel on a budget.
A former deputy money editor of the Independent, Shaw will work for the company initially for six months and will continue to write for the money sections of national media.
Teletext Holidays marketing director Mark Bloxham said: “We want to experiment more with our social media channels and appointing an independent blogger is a first for us.
“Esther will be providing regular updates on our own blog and via our Twitter and Facebook feeds.
“It’s a great way to engage with our friends and followers – people can contact Esther via our social media channels and ask specific questions – and she’s on hand to provide practical advice.”
Shaw said: “As a keen traveller I’m always looking for the best ways to save on holidays and I’m looking forward to sharing my tips with followers of Teletext Holidays.
“My professional life is spent helping people make sense of the money maze so I hope people will find my blogs full of practical advice.”
